Uttar Pradesh government suspends an IAS officer who took on sand mafia

As per the government report, the suspension of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal (IAS-2009 batch) is on administrative grounds to “prevent communal tension,” as she had ordered to demolish the wall of a Mosque.

But if, other reports to be believed which has been enunciated by many IAS Lobby, Media House and by other politicians as well, it was done to nail her action against the powerful and influential SAND MAFIA. There is strong reason two believe the “OTHER” reports.

Now this action has two perspectives to be beholden from.....

1.    By this, the UP Government (Samajwadi Party) has played a Communal Card, keeping 2014 general election in mind. The Samajwadi Party has always portrayed itself as the biggest sympathizer of “One of the” Minority Community of India, that is Muslims.

But even this reason for suspending the IAS has got no rationale, as the demolition was a part of anti-encroachment drive. And as per the local police in Gautum Budh Nagar, there was not even hostile retort in locals for this demolition, let alone the Communal Tension.

How one officer can be sacked or suspended for the reason, which as per Supreme Court of India deemed correct and absolutely legal. And More importantly, in the favor of general public

And as per the honorable Supreme Court Decision

"Public road is not anyone's property. Each citizen had a right to use the road and that right cannot be interfered with or impeded by constructing a temple, mosque, church or gurudwara or by installing the statue of a public figure,"

So by any standard, her action is not amounted to her suspension.

2.    So the “OTHER” reports are more convincing and true as well, that this action of her suspension was taken purely in the interest of Sand Mafias. These Sand Mafias, Many of them are part of the Samajawadi Party government also, has persuaded the government to suspend Durga.

Even if the government version has to be accepted, my question to the government is, how long, will we be in defensive mode.

Don’t we have an action plan or task force to handle any kind of riots? Should we run the government just for appeasing few section of society? Communal tension is always spread by the antisocial and cynical element of society, which can be from Hindu, Muslim and any other community. For them there should not be any tolerance while dealing with. 

This party has always been supportive to Mafias of all section and has been advocating for them. Many of its partymen including MP and MLA have been  in question for their indulgence in various crimes, including Rape and Kidnapping.
I was not surprised when Samajwadi general secretary Ramgopal Yadav revolted against SC and said “We will talk to political leaders for Parliament to amend the Constitution so that nobody can stop politicians from contesting elections."

In addition to that, here we need to understand one more fact.

Illegal Sand mining has got major impact on our ecosystem. The end results of the use of illegal sand mining may have some economic benefits, but this benefit is confined to these Sand Mafias, But it also has severe environmental problems which everyone has to face. Environmental problems occur when the rate of extraction of sand gravel and other materials exceed the rate at which natural processes regenerate these materials.

The negative impact on the environment can outweigh any logic given to excess sand mining by legal and illegal means.

So action to curb the Sand mafia was a very appropriate thing and same was being efficiently done by this lady Durga Shakti Nagpal (IAS).

But It bothered the well-being of the stake holder of Government. And they took this Hasty, unethical and most inappropriate decision.
